The
Grotto is a really cool place just past London Arch as you head
towards Warrnambool.
Carved
out of the rock by wave action The Grotto gives tourists and photographers
something very different along the Great Ocean Road.
You
get to The Grotto by walking down a good path to an upper viewing
platform about 300 metres from the carpark, but the best view of
it is down at the lower levels.
To
get there you need to go down some fairly steep steps that shouldn't
be attempted by folk who are not that mobile.
At
the bottom there is a man-made rock wall that keeps the tide out
and from there you can look through The Grotto and over a rock pool
to the sea beyond.
I
really rate The Grotto as a visually interesting place to shoot
some different photographs.
